Turkey Day 5K
November 26 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
SIGN UP IS NOW OPEN!
Join your friends and neighbors for the 18th Annual Laurel Park Turkey Day 5k/Fun Run! This non-competitive charity event is open to everyone. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome.
This year’s main charity is the Junior Charity League of Concord, whose mission is to improve the lives of our neighbors through active volunteerism by providing basic needs, educational programs and social services.
We’ll also make a financial contribution to:
Opportunity House, whose mission is to serve the people of Cabarrus County by providing resources to meet the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of people experiencing homelessness, addiction, or recent incarceration.
And
Pet Lifeline Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Cabarrus County Animal Shelter, its adopters, and the pets in their care.
Additionally, we’ll be collecting non-perishable items for the Second Harvest Backpack Program at Weddington Hills Elementary School. This program provides a backpack full of nutritious, ready to eat or easy to prepare foods that is sent home on weekends and holidays when school meals are not available.
